Tea Rituals, a moment that’s yours
In a world that doesn’t stop spinning, it’s easy to forget that you’re allowed to pause. You're allowed to sit, to breathe, and to just be. That’s where tea rituals come in, not as a luxury, but as a quiet necessity. A tea ritual isn’t just about drinking tea. It’s about creating space. Space to breathe. Space to reconnect. Space to remember yourself.
Whether it’s on your way to work in the morning, right after you come home in the evening, or just before your head hits the pillow, take 15 to 20 minutes a day that belong to you, and only you.
For me, that moment always comes with MeriZen. The moment I open the jar, the scent of mint, lemon verbena, and ginger takes me home to peace, to grounding, to myself. It’s not magic. It won’t erase the noise. But it helps me meet the chaos with more grace.
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to creating a tea ritual. I often sit in my favorite chair, where the light hits just right. I might grab a book I’ve read five times already or turn on a playlist that feels like a hug. I light a candle, or don’t. And I pour myself a cup of tea with intention. The only rule? Be there. Be present. Let this moment be about you, and nothing else.
This ritual won’t cure your illness. It won’t make you lose 10 kilos overnight. It won’t make your menopause symptoms disappear. But it will do something equally important: it will give you the energy to deal with it all. To show up for yourself with softness, with strength, and with care.
Tell me, what’s your favorite spot to sip tea? What book keeps you company during your ritual? Which song calms your soul?
You can start small. One tea. One moment. One breath. That’s where healing begins.
With love,
Rebeka
