How to prepare your Merifemme tea
A herbal infusion is one of the simplest ways to make a quiet moment in your day. Every Merifemme blend is put together deliberately — herbs chosen for how they taste beside one another, and for the character each one brings to the cup. And like every ritual, how you drink it is entirely your own.
You can enjoy Merifemme blends pure, with a little honey, with a splash of lemon juice, or with both. Honey adds a gentle sweetness and rounds the flavours. Lemon brings brightness and a light lift, especially lovely with the fruity or minty blends. Start small, taste, adjust.
How we brew it
One heaped teaspoon per cup, water just off the boil, and five to seven minutes of steeping. Longer draws out more of the herbs’ depth and, with blends containing sage or yarrow, more of their bitterness — which some people love and others don’t. Try it both ways and find your own.
Personally, I drink my blends completely pure. I want to taste the plants as they are, with everything they bring — sometimes soft, sometimes floral, sometimes earthy, sometimes a little bitter. Every plant has its own beauty, and in every blend nothing dominates: each herb makes room for the next.
Your tea ritual is about you. What your senses enjoy. What brings you joy. So play with your favourite blend. Try it pure. Add honey. Add lemon. Add both. Change it with your mood, with the seasons, with your day. There is no right or wrong — only what tastes good to you.
Whatever you choose, make it a moment. Sit down. Hold the warm cup. Breathe in. Your Merifemme ritual is a small daily invitation to come back to yourself, gently and with love.
