Tea Rituals, a moment that’s yours

Tea Rituals, a moment that’s yours

In a world that doesn’t stop spinning, it’s easy to forget that you’re allowed to pause. You’re allowed to sit, to breathe, and to just be. That’s where tea rituals come in — not as a luxury, but as a quiet habit worth keeping. A tea ritual isn’t really about drinking tea. It’s about making space. Space to breathe. Space to put the day down for a moment.

Whether it’s on your way to work in the morning, right after you come home in the evening, or just before your head hits the pillow — take fifteen or twenty minutes a day that belong to you, and only you.

For me, that moment usually comes with MeriZen. The moment I open the jar, the scent of mint, lemon verbena and calendula is the signal: this part of the day is mine. It’s not magic. It doesn’t erase the noise. But it marks a line, and sometimes a line is enough.

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to building a ritual. I often sit in my favourite chair, where the light hits just right. I might pick up a book I’ve already read five times, or turn on a playlist that feels like a hug. I light a candle, or I don’t. And I pour a cup with intention. The only rule? Be there. Let the moment be about you and nothing else.

Tell me — what’s your favourite spot to sip tea? What book keeps you company? Which song settles you?

You can start small. One tea. One moment. One breath. That’s where it begins.

With love,
Rebeka
